My bookworm is back again to share her top reads of the month.
I am Malala– Young Reader’s edition by Malala Yousafzai. In her own words “this one had me on the edge of my seat”. Camilla loves drama and suspense. We first learned about Malala’s story through a book about two kids from Pakistan and then a documentary, He Named Me Malala. She was so excited to explore this story on her own. The suggested age for this is 10+ but she was ready at 9. Trust your gut.
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume is the first in her Peter Hatcher/Fudge series. Camilla says “I actually shed a tear even though this is a really funny book”. Ever my animal lover, Camilla had much to say about the incident with Fudge and the turtle. These books have been around a while and for good reason; our whole family laughs along with Peter as he deals with life as an older brother.
We all love Clementine around here. Camilla re-read The Talented Clementine by Sara Pennypacker again this month. Milla says, “Clementine thinks she doesn’t have a talent but it turns out, even though it’s not a show off talent, she definitely has one that everyone admires.” Thankfully there are seven Clementine stories to enjoy, and this one is one of our faves.
Happy reading, friends!
